The Comet Fish is canvas of black adorned with a mesmerizing constellation of brilliant white and pastel blue spots. The margins of the fins bleed to an orange tint, as if the fish were a painting of the night sky before sunrise. Its celestial pattern is brought to life by an elegant silhouette of graceful, deliberate movements. In general, the comet fish is peaceful and cryptic. It thrives in an aquarium with abundant rockwork and shaded retreats, truly a stellar addition to any reef. The comet fish is reef safe with caution and should not be trusted around small fish, shrimp, and crabs.
